About Us

OUR PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Nowthen church is to glorify God by helping people believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, belong to Christ's family in meaningful relationships, and become mature in their faith and walk with Christ. We accomplish this through:
1) The Great Commission. Bringing the Gospel to people of our community and the world.
2) Excellence. A commitment to bringing quality to everything we do.
3) Service. A commitment to "be" the Church and not just a church to attend.
4) The Next Generation. We hold a deep committment to children and youth, reaching the next generation for Christ.
5) Relevance. Communicating the gospel in meaningful ways so that people can receive and respond to the good news of the Gospel of Christ.
6) Relationships. We are committed to strong interpersonal relationships found in loving, caring friendships.

OUR CONVICTIONS
We at Nowthen wholeheartedly belief that:
1) Life is primarily spiritual. People have an eternal soul and destiny.
2) The whole world needs Jesus. Everyone is sinful and eternally separated from God outside of personal faith in Jesus Christ.
3) We must love our neighbor. We are called to love all people both those inside and outside of the church.
4) We are called to obey God in all things. Obedience to the Divine will is fundamental to the Christian life.
5) God is absolutely committed to accomplishing His will. This means all things are possible through faith and God will supply every need.
6) Only the works of God will finally endure. The end of history (as we know it) is coming and only God's redeeming works will eternally endure.

OUR VISION:
The vision of the Nowthen Church is "to be an impact church multiplying devoted disciples of Christ." We strive to be Christ centered, culturally relevant, community driven, and committed to growth. We are committed to the "Great Commitment" of Acts 1:8 to be Christ's witnesses, The "Great Commandment" of Matthew 22:37-39 to love God and our neighbor, and the "Great Commission" of Matthew 28:19-20 to make disciples of Christ. We are seeking to be devoted followers of Christ through renewal by faith in Christ, relationship with Christ's family, the Church; responsibility by being actively committed to Christ's mission through service and sacrifice; and resources by joyously engaging our time, talent, and treasures in God's Kingdom.

Nowthen Alliance is a member church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
